About ESD Site

Standing on the results of our ancestors’ activities and trying to overcome barriers for the long-term benefit of people - That is ESD.

The ESD site Education For Sustainable Development.com is an education resource site for people active working with the development and implementation of ESD in schools and other educational institutions – and related educational research. The site should be especially relevant during this Decade for Education For Sustainable Development of UN and UNESCO 2005-2014. But as the aim of the Decade is huge the information here should be in need for a much longer period. ESD is also relevant for general school development and linking schools with their local communities.

As such a focus on ESD development should be able to serve a number of good intentions for the benefit of the learners, their teachers and the educational school system.

It will be impossible for me to keep up with all ESD activities but I will contribute at my best with the resources I come accross with my national and international activites in the field of ESD.
